The majestic evening to celebrate the life of Diana, Princess of Wales was held on the 13th May at the Royal Albert Hall in 2004. At only 36 when she passed away, Lady Diana as she was affectionately known, loved music in all its guises and famously danced at the Royal Opera House as a surprise one evening much to the audience’s surprise not least that of her then husband HRH The Prince of Wales.

The music for this important occasion was carefully chosen by the producer and director Chris Palmer-Jeffery. The music featured was played by the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra accompanied by the Royal Choral Society. State trumpeters were engaged to perform alongside the magnificent Grenadier Guards military band who had been so close to Her Royal Highness’s heart and her son Prince Harry, the Duke of Sussex passed out from Sandhurst in 2005 and into active service in the army for ten years.

Charities that were close to the Princess’s heart benefited on the evening and these included ‘Action for Prisoners Families’ and The Diana Memorial Fund.
